Legislator Spotlight: Congressman Guy Reschenthaler

Representative Reschenthaler (R-PA-14) at IP's Eighty-Four box plant in Pennsylvania

On April 22nd, Congressman Guy Reschenthaler (R-PA-14) who represents our Eighty-Four box plant in Pennsylvania visited the facility and met with our employees. As a newly elected Member of Congress, this was the Congressman’s first trip to the IP facility. In five short months, Reschenthaler has been very engaged with IP and shown a desire to learn more about the issues that impact our business. During the visit, Guy accepted our invitation to join the Paper and Packaging Caucus, joining 47 U.S. House Representatives and 14 U.S. Senators.

Guy is a retired U.S. Navy lawyer, having served in the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General Corps and volunteering to serve in Iraq. After retiring from the Navy, he returned to his hometown in southwestern Pennsylvania, working in the private sector and eventually being elected as the Magisterial District Judge. He was later elected as a State Senator and most recently a member of the United States Congress.
